What are the different types of sexual harassment?
There are a few major types of sexual harassment that can occur. “Quid pro quo” sexual harassment, which means, “this for that”, is when job benefits or other tangible factors are offered up in exchange for sexual favors, or when tangible action is threatened if sexual favors are not performed. “Retaliation” occurs when an employee files a claim of sexual harassment and the employer takes negative action against that employee. “Hostile work environment” sexual harassment is when unwelcome sexual advances are used to create an environment so hostile that an employee cannot reasonably perform their job.
