What to do if your employer forces you to commit fraud

by Administrator 5. February 2010 05:11

Many companies implement controls to prevent mangers from committing fraud. However, managers can sometimes circumvent these controls by forcing lower-level employees to commit fraud.

For instance, managers may attempt to manipulate accounting entries by forcing employees in accounts receiavable to adjust journal entries. If employees refuse, managers may threaten to fire them. Employees, however, have some remedies by informing internal or external legal counsel of the alleged fraud.

If you or anyone you know has been forced to commit fraud, contact the Houston employment lawyers of the Ross Law Group at 800-634-8042.
