UTMB Settles Wrongful Termination

by Administrator 21. April 2009 03:31

In the wake of Hurricane Ike, the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston laid off approximately 3000 employees. However, because of the nature of the lay offs, a wrongful termination suit was filed.

The trial was set for October 19 but has since been settled. The school will now keep the 3000 former employees on a rehire list for 36 months after the November 2008 date of termination.

If you have been wrongfully terminated, contact the Houston employment lawyers of the Ross Law Group at 800-634-8042.
