Maverick Tube Corp Settles Wrongful Termination Case

Maverick Tube Corp of Conroe, Texas has agreed to pay $175,000 to a former employee who they fired in 2007. The employee had complained of racial comments shortly before being dismissed.

The employee informed the president of the company that there were racial comments being made in the workplace. This led to the firing of the manager, and a month later, the employee was wrongfully terminated.
