Galloway School in Friendswood sued for retaliatory termination

by Administrator 29. August 2011 07:04

The Galloway School in Friendswood and several school officials and employees are being sued in a lawsuit recently filed by a former librarian.  According to the suit, the librarian was terminated from her position at the private school after reporting that she was being sexually harassed by the school's coach.

In addition to accusing the coach of sexual harassment, the employment suit accuses the school's principal of retaliation and wrongful termination.

The librarian received a right-to-sue letter from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  However, they decided to pursue the suit without investigation from the EEOC because they are also accusing the school of malicious criminal prosecution, infliction of emotional distress, and other criminal issues.
