Federal Judge Retires after Harassment Conviction

US District Judge Samuel Kent has been convicted for obstruction of justice in a sexual harassment case that was filed against him. He is set to serve nearly 3 years in federal prison.

Effective June 1, 2009, Kent has resigned his position. He has not served since entering his plea, but has retained the position until recently. He enters custody June 15.
