Are employers required to hire the most-qualified candidate?

by Administrator 26. March 2010 06:45

When employers make hiring decisions, they are not required by federal or state law to hire the most-qualified candidate. Employers may choose to hire potential employees for a variety of reasons.

However, employers are limited in their hiring decisions in some ways. These factors include sex, age, race, or religion. These cases, however, are up to trial decisions.

If you or anyone you know has questions about their employment rights, contact the Houston employment attorneys of the Ross Law Group at 800-634-8042.
